When My Body Aches

I went to watch the new X-Men film last night. It was a bit okay, I guess. Here's the trailer:

The story was not that awesome but it's not terrible either, I think, only the hardcore fans of the X-Men series will appreciate and love the movie.
For those who watched or is going to watch the movie, I prepared a character guide to better widen your understanding (if you're a geek or you have a geek friend you won't have to read this) and introduce you to the characters (I hope this lessen those head scratching moments, if you're not a geek):

The Bosses:

First on this list is Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) - He's basically the leader of the group. If you're expecting that the big man will be bald, then don't get your hopes up, this movie is set way before he discover the power of shaving.

Tso! Para!
Then comes Magneto or Erik Lehnserr (Michael Fassbender) - As his name suggest, he can control anything that has metal in it and has a really magnetic (no puns intended) personality. Although at the start of the movie he is a giant wimp, and, umm... His powers got his mother killed, kinda.

Makuha sa tingin, BRUHA!
The movie will not be complete without the villain, Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon) - The movie is a bit vague as to how his powers work, but when I checked Wikipedia (very handy) it seems that he "can absorb kinetic energy used against him and use it as super strength and speed." . Well anyway, in the comics he is a hunky man with a terrible mug that his mother would love to hate.

The Tag-A-Longs:

Pag ganito ang uuwian ko, hindi na ako aalis nang bahay!
Emma Frost (January Jones) - The White queen will warm you instantly, although her name is a bit misleading, she will make you sweat. She's a telepath (like Prof. X) and she can turn into her very own best friend (Diamond form, sorry... That was... a joke, hehe).

The color blue really suits your eyes!
Dr. Henry "Hank" McCoy / Beast (Nicholas Hoult) - A cute scientist with a hairy and really huge feet. His mutant powers consist of ambidextrous feet and a lot of blue hair (after he injected himself with Mystiques genes/serum, and it goes horrible wrong!)

Hon, sino naman ngayon ang gagayahin ko?

Raven / Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) - She's Prof. X absolutely HOT adopted little sister. She's capable of turning herself into anyone you can imagine. Her blue skin is bit disconcerting though.

Bakit ngayon ka lang?

Angel Salvadore (Zoë Kravitz) - Like Mystique, she is absolutley hot, but sadly she's one of the "bad guys". Aside from being hot, her powers include a set of alluring butterfly wings and... ummm... acidic saliva, so, you can't just kiss her. You might literally melt into a puddle after receiving a kiss from her (this was not tackled in the movie which I think should have been really addressed!).

Okay! Go ATENEO! Go ATENEO!
Sean Cassidy / Banshee (Caleb Landry Jones) - To set records straight, HE is a man and the movie presented his powers (which is to scream really loud and to fly screaming, seriously) to be absolutely cool!

Wow, lagi bang ganito sa bahay nyo tuwing brown-out?
Alex Summers / Havok (Lucas Till) - This guy was beaten up into a pulp by Jackie Chan in one of his movies. LOL.

Wait, what? I'll also die in this movie?
Armando Muñoz / Darwin (Edi Gathegi) - I can't explain his powers so I would like to qoute Wikipedia again, "A mutant with the power of reactive evolution." This guy is useless. One omph and he goes derf! Utterly useless. Unlike in the twilight series, Gathegi dies early on the movie

Mag kaka-anak ako kay Mystique? SWEET!
Azazel (Jason Flemyng) - Imagine nightcrawler in the X2 but only cooler.

Sayaw? gusto mo?
Janos Quested / Riptide (Álex González) - ... ... Your mom would like this guy. What? with a name like that, your moms labada days is over.

In other news. Just a few hours ago, my sister (Jamy) tagged along with me and we bought watched Kung Fu Panda 2! And it was awesome! The last part of the movie really got my sister excited, she practically squealed KUNG FU PANDA 3! Here's the trailer to get you excited:
